Llangler Community Council consists of 13 Councillors, all working on a voluntary basis, a clerk is employed to carry out administration duties. The County Councillors represent the wards of Drefach, Llangeler and Penboyr.
A Chairperson is elected from amongst the Councillors. Meetings are held on the last Monday of the month except August & December . Meetings start at 7.30pm.
Meetings rotate between The Red Dragon Hall, Bryn Saron School & Penboyr Church Hall.
All meetings are, by law, public and anyone who wishes can attend.
Minutes of the meetings are published once they have been ratified which would be at the next meeting. They are published on this website and are available from the Clerk.
Community Council Duties
Llangeler Community Council has a large range of powers, and the activities which we are involved in are varied. Our duties include promoting tourism, licensing, community halls, representation and consulting on planning applications from the local planning authority, Carmarthenshire County Council.
